ROBERT FROSTI like the way that the author uses four narrators to tell the story. Each narrator had his or her own situation. I also like the book being divided into four parts which each part having importance. Part one being the early years of the narrators. Part two told by Carrie Bishop who describes life in a coal camp. Part three the climax of the story, each narrator makes a stand for what they believe in. This part includes the strike. And part four, which is post life after the strike is over and gives us the birth of Rondal and Carrie's child Dillion. |
